Who is profiting from the switch to digital television?
Written by admin on June 14, 2009 – 8:05 am -The average household is definitely not. We are being ripped off.
I need a rooftop antenna to get any reception. Those are expensive. I can only get satellite, and I don't want to pay for satellite tv. I looked at a satellite tv website and they have a program where you pay 5 dollars monthly to get the "free" local channels. I wonder how much in taxes and fees they add on to that 5 dollars. So far, my household has spent nearly 100 dollars to adapt to this switch and with what we have, we will only be getting reception for 1 channel.
I live in a rural area, and with this switch I am being forced to spend money either way in order to get television reception. I am annoyed. I would like to know who is profiting from this switch. Do you know? Are you annoyed too? No one can afford extra expenses these days. I guess my house isn't going to watch television anymore.
the government did it to free up frequencies that THEY WANT for their business.
and also the converter box people made billions.
